BidTools^TM provides a suite of capabilities for the transportation consultant or negotiator needing to make a Strategic Transportation Sourcing project run smoothly and easily across a base of possibly hundreds of carriers and thousands of bid lanes.  The three components are:

• BidComm^TM - provides an MPSS, Inc., hosted web interface with your carriers.  The interface is branded with your logo and customized to reflect your required materials and downloadable RFQ files and instructions.  Through this interface carriers can:
  • Sign your Non Disclosure Agreement
  • Edit the contact information you use to send them information
  • Download your bid files and instructions
  • Upload their RFQ and RFI files, including supplementary data

  When carriers upload their files to the website, they are tracked and given unique names such that you can always determine the date, time, and source of uploaded carrier bid materials.

  As the "Administrator" you can set up access levels, define required files, customize company contact information and even designate login IDs for transportation planners or other company employees who need to be able to see "behind the scenes" without access to configuration tools.  Your Administrator access includes FTP access to the directories where uploaded carrier bid files are stored so you can quickly download the files to your own workstation.

  You are also able to send mass emails to any group of carriers in the bidder list, complete with carrier-customized attachments and "mail-merge" type text fields that can be embedded the text of your emails to customize the message for each carrier.
   

• BidProc^TM - is a collection of spreadsheet processing functions that starts with merging the multiple carrier bid files into a single bid spreadsheet that contains lane, carrier ID, bid file date/time data, and other master data on each bid lane row for all the carriers.  Subsequent rounds of feedback files and follow-up bids are provided for.  Finally, BidProc^TM produces the PDF award files for the carriers to print and sign as part of their Letter of Intent leading up to contract signing.
   
• BidOpt^TM - helps you build an award scenario that achieves the lowest overall cost while meeting key criteria for numbers of carriers, emphasis on incumbents, and other geographic and capacity constraints.  BidOpt^TM is capable of analyzing tens of thousands of lane bids in a matter of minutes to give you an optimized scenario result, complete with extensive reports at both detailed and summary levels.
